Who We Are



It is a registered Savings and Credit Cooperative Association whose main objective is to collect savings from members and provide loans. IMMIGRATION SACCOS is a staff SACCOS which was established under the current Co-operative Societies Act number 20 of 2003 of 2006. 

Another objective of SACCOS is to encourage prosperity among members by educating members on the benefits of having a habit of saving. , through better investment methods aimed at improving the social and economic conditions of members. This is achieved by providing members with additional savings systems, loans and other financial products as may be required by members from time to time.

Our Objectives

  •  To promote savings among its members by giving them the opportunity to collect their savings and deposits and thus create a source of money from which they can get loans for the purpose of livelihood or production or both at a fair and reasonable rate of interest.
  •  To provide opportunities for each of its members to improve their social and economic conditions and well-being.
  •  Providing additional savings and credit services to members and other financial services as required by members from time to time.
  •  Ensuring the safety and stability of members' funds through a risk management program or any other appropriate insurance plan
  •  To ensure the development of its members by continuing to educate them on the correct use of loans.
  •  To perform all those functions and to use the powers assigned to Savings and Credit Cooperatives under the applicable law for the benefit of the members.
  •  Cooperating with other cooperatives to promote the interests of members and in achieving this goal, the Society may join National and International Cooperatives.
  •  To carry out within the relevant laws (Laws, Regulations) and these by-laws, all actions, actions and matters necessary to further improve, promote or encourage any or all of the foregoing purposes and objectives unless such actions, actions and matters are approved by the Annual General Meeting
 
 

Governance

UHAMIAJI SACCOS is led by a Board made up of 7 members  who were elected during the Annual General Meeting.The highest decision-making body in UHAMIAJI SACCOS as in all other SACCOS is the Annual General Meeting (AGM) when the management board assisted by the SACCOS staff represents the members in the SACCOS general management as shown in the organizational structure.

Board Responsibilities

    1.  Directing and Monitoring the daily affairs of the Community;
    2.  Creation of administrative and credit policies, interest rates for loans and deposits
    3.  Preparation of the annual budget
    4.  To register new members and maintain a register for the same;
    5.  Prepare financial reports and submit audited reports to the Annual General Meeting
    6.  Planning and implementing various development programs on behalf of members
    7.  To carry out other duties that members may direct from time to time at the General Meeting of the Government.
